Capturing the Unconventional: A Photographic Journey through the Verbeke Foundation

Imagine having explored every corner of the Verbeke Foundation, where each space unveils a new adventure in art and nature, perfect for capturing unique photos.

Within this vibrant world, where art is not an oasis but a living entity, you have captured the most intriguing and unconventional images. Founded by art collectors Geert Verbeke and Carla Verbeke-Lens, the Verbeke Foundation opened its doors in 2007, creating a unique blend of culture, nature, and ecology.

You have explored the vast 12-hectare natural area, as well as the 20,000 m² covered spaces, once used as warehouses for transportation but now serving as unique exhibition spaces. Every corner revealed a new surprise, a new opportunity to capture a unique image in an environment that is constantly changing.

The history of the Foundation came to life as you wandered, with a private collection of over 6000 collages and assemblages from the twentieth century that you could admire and capture in their permanent exhibition space. But also contemporary artworks and in situ built installations offered endless inspiration for your photographic explorations.

Every photo you have taken tells a story of the vibrant, unpolished presentation of art that characterizes the Verbeke Foundation. Each image captures a moment of contradiction, complexity, and liveliness, much like the world outside the museum walls.

Step into the Verbeke Foundation and be enchanted by the endless possibilities to capture unique photos in an environment that is always in motion, always breathing like a living organism.
